Jenelle Evans‘ son Jace was placed in a mental health facility after a frightening incident involving a gun and his grandmother … TMZ has learned.
Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … Jenelle’s mom Barbara Evans told the reality star Jace allegedly pulled out a firearm, put it to his head, and threatened to kill himself and Barbara.
We’re told there were also concerns about possible substance use, with sources claiming Jace had been drinking and using drugs in the lead-up to the incident.
We broke the story … law enforcement responded to a February 22 call at Barbara’s North Carolina home for what authorities described as a “troubled teen disturbance,” with 7 officers dispatched to the residence. Jace has been living there with his grandmother.
As we first reported … Jace is now receiving professional treatment at a mental health facility. It’s unclear how long he will remain in care, but those close to the family say the focus right now is on his health and stability.
We’ve reached out to Jenelle and Barbara … so far, no word back.

Mary Cosby‘s son, Robert Cosby Jr., was laid to rest over the weekend following his sudden death, but the cameras were not rolling … TMZ has learned.
Sources connected to “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” tell TMZ … the funeral services held over the weekend in Utah were not filmed for the show’s upcoming Season 7. We’re told several producers from the series attended the service to pay their respects, though.
The support from the ‘RHOSLC’ family was strong. Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Heather Gay, Whitney Rose, Bronwyn Newport, Angie Katsanevas, and Britani Bateman all showed up for Mary during the difficult time.
Radio Andy/SiriusXM
Andy Cohen confirmed on SiriusXM Monday the funeral services were held Saturday and noted in addition to the cast, there were also some notable Bravoleb cameos — Kyle Richards, Cynthia Bailey, and ShereΓ© Whitfield attended as well. Andy called them “real ones.”
As we previously reported … Robert Jr. died on February 23. His cause of death remains under investigation, though police responded to a possible overdose.
We broke the story … Season 7 briefly paused after Robert’s death, but resumed last Tuesday. The women — minus Mary — regrouped at a cast member’s home and addressed his passing on camera.
