Jeff Metcalf opened up about the lasting trauma Hunter has endured during a recent appearance on the “JinxedSip” podcast. Watch the clip — Jeff shares an emotional glimpse into what his surviving son has been dealing with since witnessing Austin’s death, without holding anything back.
Rather than focusing on the trial or the verdict, Jeff’s comments center on the human toll left behind … describing the challenges Hunter has faced and the difficult conversations they’ve had as a family while trying to move forward.
Jeff also explains why he believes the tragedy reached far beyond the Metcalf household … affecting classmates, friends and other students who witnessed the violence unfold that day.
As TMZ previously reported, Karmelo Anthony was convicted earlier this week of murdering Austin during an altercation at a Frisco, Texas track meet and was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
Jeff’s podcast appearance has already generated headlines for Jeff’s criticism of school officials and Anthony’s family … but this part of the conversation focuses on something far more personal — the lasting trauma left behind after Austin’s death.

Ashlee Jenae‘s fiancé is turning his pain into purpose … Joe McCann tells us he’s begun the process of setting up a foundation in Ashlee’s honor.
According to Joe, the foundation will be a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to preventing self-harm and helping people who have thoughts of self-harm.
Joe says he felt inspired to help others after Ashlee — whose real name is Ashly Robinson — tragically took her own life during their April getaway to Zanzibar.
He tells us … “When the official findings were announced, I felt a deep sense of renewed pain, but also purpose.”
As you know, Ashlee’s death was officially ruled a suicide.
Joe added … “Ashly’s story needs to be told so we can honor and cherish what she brought to this world. Her death will not be in vain, and her legacy will be preserved.”
The investment firm CEO tells TMZ he regrets not being able to take away Ashlee’s pain and “deep mental anguish,” saying … “I wish I could have brought her over from the darkness into the light.”
He says Ashlee was his best friend and soulmate … and had a sweet, gentle spirit. Joe tells TMZ he believes her legacy will have an impact “for years to come.”
According to Joe, he’ll provide more details about the foundation at a later time, when he makes an official announcement.

Brad Pitt is being called out for secretly attempting to gain information in his legal fight against his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, in their never-ending war … TMZ has learned.
The bombshell claims are courtesy of the Russian vodka giant, Stoli … the company’s long been dragged into Brad’s lawsuit against Angelina over their French estate, Château Miraval.
In new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Stoli claims Brad has been making improper moves. They say his team fired off a subpoena in December 2025 to a bank as part of a bankruptcy that Stoli filed in Texas. The subpoena asked the bank to turn over emails exchanged with Stoli, and included questions about Vladimir Putin, Russia, and any Russian assets of Stoli.
Remember … Brad and Angelina bought the winery during their marraige, and when they divorced, she sold her stake to Stoli. Brad claimed Angelina needed his approval to sell her stake — which she disputes — and he claimed the head of Stoli had ties to Russia and they were attempting a hostile takeover of the company he spent years building.
As for the new filing … Stoli says Brad told them about the subpoena weeks after he had already obtained the documents from the bank. They claim the subpoenas were concerning matters that have nothing to do with the case.
The liquor company said Brad and his team already have the documents they requested … and they want them destroyed immediately.
Stoli seems to believe Brad didn’t inform them of the subpoena until he got the docs … to prevent them from being able to object.
A source close to Brad tells TMZ … Angelina and Stoli have a habit of not sharing documents about their deal, so there’s some pot and kettle going on. The issue here is that the new and previous counsel on their side did not communicate with each other, because the other lawyers knew about the request.
We hear from the source … this whole argument is silly, because the hearing has not even happened yet.
Bottom line … Brad did not want to sell to the company because of his concerns over Stoli’s business practices … and the bankruptcy documents in question highlight and reinforce those concerns.
