One of the most popular power couples in the sports world is no more — Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird just announced they have broken up after 10 years together.
The two superstar athletes — who got engaged in 2020, but never exchanged vows — shared a joint statement on Friday … admitting, “There really is no smooth or easy way to share this news.”
“This hasn’t been an easy decision, but it’s one we’ve made together, with so much love, respect, and care for each other. We’ve shared a whole life over the last decade, through big moments and in quiet ones, and that is something we’ll always carry with us.”
The two even had a podcast together — “A Touch More” — and they said that project is also cooked as part of the development in their relationship.
Rapinoe is one of the most famous U.S. Women’s National Team soccer players ever — winning two World Cups and an Olympic gold.
Bird is widely regarded as one of the greatest WNBA players ever — winning four championships, five Olympic gold medals, and two titles at UConn. She played her entire WNBA career with the Seattle Storm.
Most fans of the couple can’t believe it … but the info’s coming straight from them, so pour one out for their love story.

Alshon Jeffery — who won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2017 season — was arrested for insurance fraud earlier this week, TMZ Sports has learned.
Jeffery — who was also busted for conceal/fail to disclose insurance benefit or payment — was booked in jail around 8 AM on Wednesday and has since been released.
Further details surrounding the arrest were not immediately available.
According to California law, the insurance fraud charge is a felony and can carry up to five years in prison and/or a fine that’s double the amount of the fraud.
36-year-old Jeffery is a former second-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft … and split his nine-year career between the Chicago Bears and Eagles.
He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2013. In SB LII, Philly beat the New England Patriots in a 41-33 thriller … and Jeffery contributed three catches for 73 yards and a touchdown in the victory.
Before his pro career, Jeffery was a standout at South Carolina … racking up a ton of awards and recognitions like All-American and All-SEC honors. He even had his number retired with the Gamecocks organization.
We reached out to Jeffery for comment — so far, no word back.
