Nickel 200 is a ferromagnetic, commercially pure (99.6%) wrought Nickel with good mechanical properties over a variety of temperatures, excessive ductility, and wonderful resistance to many corrosives (particularly hydroxides). It has roughly the power of gentle metal when annealed and might present larger power ranges when within the “as rolled” situation.
The components that have an effect on resistance are:
Diameter: The thinner the wire (larger gauge quantity), the upper the resistance per foot. The thicker the wire (decrease gauge quantity), the decrease the resistance.
Size: The longer the wire, the upper the general resistance. The shorter the wire, the decrease the general resistance.
Temperature: The extra warmth the wire generates, the extra resistance it can create.
Present: Decide the present (amperage) you could warmth your wire.
Options:
1. Greater scorching and creep power
2. Higher ductility after use
3. Greater emissivity
4. Non-magnetic
5. Higher moist corrosion resistance
